Chicken Shoyu


3 to 5 lbs Chicken thighs
3 cloves garlic
2 (1") pieces of ginger, crushed
2 star anise
1 cup chicken broth
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup shoyu
1 teaspoon mirin
1 tablespoon Yoshida's gourmet sauce


Heat sauce ingredients until the sugar has been dissolved. Add chicken and simmer until the chicken is cooked through. Top with chopped green onions n enjoy over rice.
