Local Kine Chili

Ingredients:

1 pkg. Portuguese sausage, sliced into small bite size pieces
1 lb. ground beef
1 small onion, diced
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 C ketchup
1 C. water
1 to 2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp shoyu
1 can (15-1/2oz.) kidney beans, drain some , but not all of the juice out
1 tsp. cornstarch mixed with 2 tsp water

Instructions:

Fry Portuguese sausage, add ground beef and onion and cook until the hamburger is browned. Drain excess oil. Add tomato sauce, ketchup, water, chili powder and shoyu. Bring to a boil and cook on medium heat for about 15 minutes. Add kidney beans. When it comes to a boil again, add the cornstarch mixture, stirring in to thicken. Yummy on rice!
